Computer saved!

So, our first bus ride in Bolivia, from Tupiza to Uyuni was a thriller. We were packed in like sardines on a seven hour cliff-hugging ride that followed dirt roads between these remote towns. All passengers were scared to death. At one point it seemed like we were just aimlessly driving through the desert as the bus bumped and vibrated like a paint shaker. This bumping also happened to break my laptop to the point where it wouldn´t turn on any more. Jen and I freaked about the computer because it has all our photos, it´s our main source of communication and entertainment, and because I use it for my work! Luckily a friend of a friend from couch surfing in La Paz knew a great technician who fixed our computer without voiding the Toshiba warranty and saving all but three of our thousands of pictures. He did this all for 100 bolivianos, which is a little over 15 dollars, and we were able to drink tea and talk about Bolivian history and culture while the recovery chugged along. So, please enjoy the following picture album which corresponds to our last blog post: Salta Province.
